2025 Advisory Board Meetings
Our annual Scientific Advisory Board meetings are always an excellent opportunity to receive invaluable advice on POI's scientific direction and progress, from leading international academic voices. Our 2025 SAB was held this week over the course of two days, and featured a mix of research talks, programme updates, networking opportunities and discussion sessions.
This year was particularly impactful, as our SAB served as "mock-reviewers", putting our researchers through their paces and helping to strengthen our preparations for the POI-2 review.
This year, we also brought together several of our advisory boards and committees, increasing dialogue between the different groups and enhancing impact. The POI Governance Committee is our overall oversight board providing us with strategic direction and input into programme sustainability & influencing policy, whilst our Charity Advisory Board helps guide and shape the POI programme and provides a vital link with public and patient communities. We has strong representation from both groups and it was great to get both their perspectives.
