All applicants must be under the age of 18 at the time of entry and only one entry will be accepted per person.  

DATA PRIVACY POLICY

Precision Oncology Ireland (POI) (We/Us/Our) collects your information and that relating to your parents or legal guardian for a number of reasons. This privacy notice describes how POI and use personal information about you before and after the Invisible Spectrum Art Competition 2020.  POI is the national organiser of the Invisible Spectrum  Art Competition 2020. POI is based at  Systems Biology Ireland, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4.

WHO LOOKS AFTER YOUR INFORMATION? POI is the primary data controller of the personal information you give us.

OUR USE OF YOUR INFORMATION When you participate in the Invisible Spectrum we may process your data in a variety of ways, for several different reasons and with a range of legal justifications.

FULFILLING CONTRACT This basis is appropriate where the processing is necessary to:

  • Fulfil the Invisible Spectrum terms and conditions;
  • Administer the competition;
  • Deal with your enquiries and requests; and
  • Contact the winners.

YOUR CONSENT • Featuring photographs of the winners together with their name and ages may be used in in advertising and publicity.

WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED? Winner’s names, age and category will be displayed  On the POI website and on the POI twitter page.

Where you have given us permission to use your photographic image we may share those images along with names and age with national and local press as well as magazines, internal publications/web and social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

HOW AND WHY DO WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR INFORMATION? We will only process your personal information for the purposes of the Invisible Spectrum Art Competition 2020. Your personal information will be collected following your entry submission.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT? We will collect, store, and use the following categories of personal information about you: Your name, age, email address, postal address and photograph.

DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE US YOUR INFORMATION? You must give us some information to ensure you have complied with the terms and conditions of the Invisible Spectrum Art Competition 2020 and to administer the competition but there is some information that you can choose whether to let us have or not. We require your name and email address for contact purposes, your age to know which category of the competition you are in, and your postal address to send you a prize. We also request a photograph of you with your artwork to use for publicity purposes. You can choose not to send us a photograph, and you can also choose not to send us your postal address if you don’t wish to receive a prize.

HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION? We don’t keep it forever, only for as long as we need it to help us do the thing we needed it for. We will only retain your contact information until all prizes have been despatched, following which we will destroy your personal data in a safe manner. Consents relating to photographic images of artwork and artists will be retained for as long as the photographic image is being used.
