Double viva
What a busy (and happy) day for our PhD researchers!
SBI saw two successful PhD viva examinations today as the newly minted Drs. Donagh Egan & Soraya Epp both passed their viva's today.
Soraya completed her thesis entitled "Targetting mitochondria for therapies against MYCN-amplified neuroblastoma" under the supervision of Melinda Halaz & Walter Kolch, with funding from Children's Health Ireland and Research Ireland.
Donagh's thesis was titled "Dissecting the immune landscape of cancer to understand immunotherapy response" and was completed under supervision of Walter Kolch, Vadim Zhernovkov and Donal Brennan, with support from AstraZeneca and Research Ireland.
Well done Donagh and Soraya on your years of hard work
